Four in a Row

Using a download from Adrian Bruce's wonderful teammate created these awesome four in a row boards to go with "Lady in the Moon" and "Henry and Mudge"

You can download her boards here...

  1. Hi Heidi! I'm hoping you can explain to me how to use these boards. Thanks! =)

  2. I play the game with the kids during small group time. We practice reading the words on the board and then each child gets a color of chip. As they choose a word to read, they are trying to put their chips on the board so that they get 4 in a row. The opposing team tries to put their colored chips on the board to block and also get four in a row.
    Hope this helps :)

    1. Sounds great!! Thanks for responding. Printing some out to use for tomorrow! Thank you for all of the wonderful resources you share. This is my first year teaching first grade and I am so glad I found your site! I don't know what I would have done without the extra things you share with all of us. =)

  3. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who doesn't know how to use these! They lool interesting and those are the stories we're doing next week, so I'd love to figure this out so I can use them in class!
